Our Coil Covers directly replace the No Longer Available (NLA) Mercury Racing / Mariner / Quicksilver Ignition Coil Cover Mounting Brackets with parts numbers 79743 (plastic) and 67614 (metal) (NLA) (MSRP $167.15 per set)
Our Coil Covers are available in Red, Blue and Yellow as standard colors with the possiblilty of custom colors upon request.
Mercury Racing 2.0/2.4/2.5 Coil Cover Set
The Mercury OEM Service Manual torque specification for the ignition coil cover screws is to "tighten securely, do not over tighten, or the covers and/or coils could be damaged." While specific torque values are not explicitly provided for the coil covers, the service manual advises caution to avoid overtightening. A touch of red thread lock is recommended on the bolts.
