The Code Red Racing, 6-piece, 3D-printed lightweight lower unit stand is built to hold all Mercury gearcases (not including 500r) safely and upright for light service work and storage.
 
At only 2.4 lbs, it’s easy to move around the shop or boat race site, yet stable enough to keep a gearcase from tipping, scuffing, or getting damaged.
 
This stand is built with the Mercury Racing and Code Red Racing logo fused into the design, giving it a clean motorsports look that matches the performance hardware it supports.
 
This stand is made to support a lower unit/gearcase right after removal from the midsection, or right before installation when you’re staging parts, prepping splines, checking shift shaft alignment, or doing last-minute cleanup. It’s also ideal for storage, keeping the gearcase upright and off the floor.
 
Gearcases and engine families it supports
The stand is designed around the gearcase families most commonly found on 2.0/2.4/2.5/3.0 Verado I6 and V8 Mercury Platforms. That includes mainstream and performance gearcases like Sportmaster, Torquemaster, CLE, and Fleetmaster, plus race gearcase families such as SSM #4 and SSM #6. The only Mercury gearcase that will not fit is the Mercury 500r gearcase.
 
It also supports the race SST-120, APX 200, APX 250, and APEX 360, along with F1H2O and IHRA F1 gearcases commonly associated with high-output racing applications and legacy Mercury performance setups.
 
Lightweight Design
The stand uses a 6-piece structure assembled with 16 stainless screws, providing rigidity without the bulk of a metal cradle. At 2.4 lbs, it’s easy to carry, easy to store, and quick to set up—perfect for race teams and shops where space and time matter.
